Description

Leather dyes can bleed during washing or when they come into contact with moisture, a common problem that can permanently impair the appearance of the leather. At the same time, sensitive leather types such as natural leather and aniline leather tend, due to their open pores, to leave unsightly tide marks after contact with water or other liquids, which can hardly be removed using conventional methods.

Leather Fixative fixes the leather dyes and thus reliably prevents them from bleeding during washing or contact with moisture.

In addition, Leather Fixative is an extremely effective agent for treating and removing tide marks caused by liquids on open-pored smooth leathers such as natural leather and aniline leather. These fine but annoying marks are often caused by spilled drinks, raindrops or other uneven exposure to moisture and are particularly visible on these sensitive leather types. Leather Fixative can be used to treat such tide marks specifically and remove them in most cases.

Application

Please read the instructions below carefully before each use!

Pre-treatment with Leather Fixative

Leather Fixative is used for all mixed items (different-coloured leathers or mixes with textile). Lining materials of the same colour or black do not require fixative treatment. Test monochrome leather beforehand: rub a light-coloured cloth lightly moistened with water over the leather ten times in a concealed area. If the cloth does not discolour, pre-treatment with fixative is not necessary. If the fixative bath does not discolour, it can be omitted for the next wash.

  • Do not carry out the fixative bath in the washing machine, only in a tub.
  • Use half the bottle in approx. 5-10 litres of lukewarm water, until covered. Use the whole bottle for a complete motorcycle suit.
  • Immerse the item to be washed in the fixative bath for at least 1 hour and move it around slightly from time to time.
  • After removing it, allow it to drain well and put it in the washing machine without rinsing.
