Description

Goodyear-welted shoes with leather soles are an investment that will serve you for many years with the right care. Unlike rubber or plastic soles, leather is a natural material that is regularly exposed to moisture, dirt and abrasion and can quickly dry out, become brittle and lose durability without appropriate care. Using our Leather Shoe Sole Oil keeps leather soles in optimum condition in the long term.

The Leather Sole Oil penetrates deep into the leather structure of the sole and supplies the leather with important nutrients that keep it supple and permanently flexible. At the same time, it waterproofs the sole and thus protects it from moisture penetration.

Application

Please read the instructions below carefully before each use!

New soles should first be worn in a little so that the tread structure becomes slightly roughened and the leather becomes more absorbent. For the first treatment, apply the oil two to three times in thin, even layers and take care not to use too much product.

CAUTION:

  • If seams are visible on the shoe sole, avoid these areas during application to prevent the oil from penetrating the shoe or loosening existing adhesives.
  • Avoid excessive application.
  • Do not treat the edge of the sole as well, to avoid oil stains on the upper leather.
  • Open-pored leather soles are more sensitive to weather than rubber soles. Therefore, wear weatherproof footwear in snow and persistent rain.

After the initial treatment, a single follow-up treatment at regular intervals is sufficient – every few months, depending on weather conditions and wear.

Notes

  • Always test the product first in a concealed area for changes.
  • Never apply the product directly to the leather; always apply it to the cloth or sponge first.
  • Protect from frost and heat (+40 °C)
  • If you are unsure, do not hesitate to contact us.
Regular and sparing care increases the service life of leather soles on shoes and boots.
