Trusted quality in a new design: You previously knew this product as Colourlock Elephant Lederfett. We have revised the item to provide you with even better service.

Description

Leather that is regularly used or exposed to weather influences loses its natural fats and oils over time. The result is dryness, cracking and a dull, lacklustre appearance. To counteract this process, it needs care that penetrates deep into the leather structure and nourishes the material from within. Elephant Leather Preserver was developed precisely for this purpose.

Elephant Leather Preserver is widely used in museums to preserve antique leather and keep it supple for a long period of time. Because it is 100% synthetic grease, it does not, for example, provide a breeding ground for mould.

The leather grease is ideal for the leather of convertibles and classic cars with a light glossy patina, or the leather of bags and suitcases. Belts, shoes, boots and tack are also protected, waterproofed and cared for with Elephant Leather Preserver. Elephant Leather Preserver is also ideal for oily leather on furniture or for greased horsehide jackets.

Application

Please read the notes below carefully before each use!

Rub a small amount of leather grease into a soft, clean cloth, then work it gently and evenly into the leather and, if necessary, polish again after 24h.

TIP: You can also apply the leather grease by hand (or while wearing a nitrile glove).

In principle, leather should always be cleaned before care (Leather Cleaner Mild for normal soiling or Leather Cleaner Strong for heavy soiling.) This prevents dirt from being fixed to the leather by the care product. The Leather Cleaning Brush makes work easier when there is heavy soiling deep in the grain.

Notes

  • Always first test the product in an inconspicuous area for changes.
  • Never apply the product directly to the leather; always apply it to the cloth first.
  • Protect from frost and heat (+40 °C)
  • At cooler temperatures, the leather grease is difficult to work with; you can warm the grease slightly with a hair dryer.
