Although new leather is in perfect condition when delivered, without additional protection it is exposed to daily wear from the outset. Dirt, skin oils, abrasion and moisture can settle on the surface at an early stage and permanently impair the leather. Sealing the leather at an early stage is therefore the most effective measure to preserve its original condition for as long as possible.

New leather should be protected/cared for with Leather Shield within the first 3 years. New leather does not yet require replenishing care, but effective protection against abrasion and wear marks and colour transfer from clothing. In particular, the driver's seat (entry bolsters of sports seats and high support bolsters) or the seating surfaces of light-coloured furniture show signs of wear or soiling and discolouration within the first three years. Leather Shield effectively prevents this.

IMPORTANT: We always recommend thoroughly cleaning leather before applying care. This prevents dirt and residues from being worked in. Leather Cleaner Mild is suitable for normal soiling, while Leather Cleaner Strong is used for heavier contamination. The Leather Cleaning Brush makes it easier to clean deep within the grain.

Please read the instructions below carefully before each use!

Apply the leather sealant once the leather is dry after cleaning. Rub a little Leather Shield into a soft cloth and apply a thin layer from seam to seam. Allow to dry without buffing. The process can be repeated on areas subject to heavier wear.

Reapply care every 3 months to heavily used areas (entry bolsters, steering wheel) and every 6 to 12 months to normally used leather.

• Always test the product first in a concealed area for changes.
• Never apply the product directly to the leather; always apply it to the cloth or sponge first.
