The leather cleaning brush is used in various cases:

  • as a supplement to Leather Cleaner Mild or Strong for soiling in the grain of surface-coloured smooth leathers
  • as a supplement to artificial leather cleaners for soiling in the grain of artificial leathers and plastics
  • for brushing up or removing dirt from suede leathers (nubuck, velour, suede)
  • for wet cleaning with Leather & Fur Wash Concentrate or Shoe Cleaner
  • for polishing Elephant Leather Preserver when caring for shoes and boots
  • for removing the absorption powder from dried Grease Absorber Paste
  • for removing stains from textiles with Pol Star

Description

The leather cleaning brush is versatile and therefore a very valuable tool for treating leather and textiles.

Application

Leather

The brush is particularly helpful for dirt in the grain pattern or for very dirty leather.

CAUTION: Always test first in a concealed area to see whether the leather is sensitive to staining. Not every leather is surface-coloured.

Then apply a little cleaner to the brush and clean the leather. Check the degree of soiling by wiping away the cleaning residue with a light-coloured cloth. Normal soiling can be removed without difficulty. Areas where colour damage is present or stains (grease stains, ink, etc.) have been absorbed into the leather cannot be removed this way. Please ask us for further assistance in such cases.

Artificial leather and plastics

Artificial leather and plastics are very robust. The brush is particularly helpful for dirt in the grain pattern or for very dirty surfaces.

CAUTION: Always test first in a concealed area to see whether the material is sensitive.

Apply the artificial leather cleaner to a sponge lightly moistened with water, squeeze out the foam and apply it to the surface. Then clean afterwards with the brush. Check the degree of soiling by wiping away the cleaning residue with a light-coloured cloth. Normal soiling can be removed without difficulty. Areas where colour damage is present or stains (grease stains, ink, etc.) have been absorbed into the leather cannot be removed this way. Please ask us for further assistance in such cases.

Suede leathers (nubuck, velour, suede, etc.)

Suede leathers have a velvety surface and are used for bags, shoes, as well as furniture and other objects. Due to the velvety surface, the direction of the nap changes with use or the leather absorbs dust and dirt. The brush is the easiest way to realign the surface evenly or brush off simple dirt when dry.

Leather detergent - shoe detergent

During wet cleaning, the brush helps to loosen dried-on or stubborn dirt.

Polishing

The brush can be used to increase the level of shine of glossy leathers after care treatment.

Grease Absorber Paste

When working with Grease Absorber Paste, a white absorption powder remains on the leather. This can be vacuumed or brushed off. Powder residue that cannot be removed by vacuuming can also be brushed out.


Textile cleaning

The brush is helpful for stubborn stains in textiles.


CAUTION:

However, always check for changes in a concealed area beforehand and never rub too hard!

Apply the textile cleaner to a sponge. Squeeze foam out of the sponge and clean the surface in circular movements. Use the brush if necessary, but do not rub too hard. Then allow to dry and check whether another cleaning attempt is necessary.
