COLOURLOCK Aniline & Nubuck Protector

Suede and nubuck leather, including nubuck, velour and suede, together with open-pore smooth leathers such as aniline and buffalo leather, are among the most natural and distinctive types of leather. Their sanded or unprotected surface gives them a warm, lively feel. However, this open structure also makes them particularly susceptible and in need of care: without the right treatment, they dry out, fade and lose their natural suppleness.

A particular challenge with these leathers is choosing the right care product. Conventional fat- or oil-based care products and care milks are unsuitable for suede and open-pore smooth leathers because they can stain the surface and permanently alter its characteristic appearance. Aniline & Nubuck Protector was developed specifically for these requirements and provides the necessary care without affecting the sensitive surface.

The care spray supplies the leather with the necessary replenishing oils, keeps it supple and prevents drying out and embrittlement. At the same time, the integrated UV filter reliably protects the surface from fading caused by sunlight. This is especially important for light-coloured or natural leathers, where colour changes quickly become visible. Aniline & Nubuck Protector is therefore the ideal care solution for anyone wishing to care for high-quality suede and open-pore smooth leather gently and effectively.

Please read the notes below carefully before each application!

For everyday cleaning, it is sufficient to dust the leather occasionally with a feather duster or dry cloth, or brush it off with a soft brush. For visible soiling or periodic cleaning (we recommend every 3–6 months), you can use Aniline and Nubuck Cleaner.

After cleaning, suede and nubuck leather should always be conditioned. Use Aniline & Nubuck Protector and the waterproofing spray for this purpose.

Aniline & Nubuck Protector is a care spray with the necessary replenishing oils and UV protection. It protects leather from fading and keeps it supple. With heavy use (sunlight, heating, frequent use), care for the leather after one year at the latest. Depending on use, heat and light intensity, it should then be treated sparingly every 3 to 12 months.

Regular, sparing application of care is better for leather than infrequent excessive application. One or two sparing applications are always sufficient. Only in rare cases of very dry leather that has not been cared for over a long period may more be required.

The waterproofing spray protects against stains.

Apply the waterproofing spray after every cleaning or care treatment in areas at risk of staining. Only areas susceptible to stains need to be treated. Spray thinly and evenly onto a clean, dry surface from a distance of approx. 40 cm. Then allow to dry. Spray heavily used areas again if necessary.

Tip: A waterproofing spray cannot protect against every type of stain. Careful handling of these leather types is therefore the best protection.

One 400 ml can of Aniline & Nubuck Protector is sufficient for at least one care treatment of a complete leather suite.

• Always test the product first in an inconspicuous area for changes.
• Never apply the product directly to the leather; always apply it to the cloth first.
• Protect from frost and heat (+40 °C).
• At lower temperatures, the leather fat is difficult to work with; you can warm it slightly with a hairdryer.
