COLOURLOCK Waterproofing Spray for Leather & Textiles UN1950, 200 ml Aerosol

Fabrics and open-pore leather such as aniline leather or suede (nubuck, velour, suede) absorb liquids. This affects leisurewear, footwear, tent fabric and convertible tops. Such materials can become soaked, and tide marks may form. The waterproofing spray provides gentle and effective protection against moisture and stains for delicate leather and textiles of this kind.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Always test all products first in an inconspicuous area for any changes.

Spray a thin and even coat onto the clean, dry surface from a distance of approximately 40 cm. Then allow it to dry. If necessary, spray heavily used areas again. Reapply after cleaning or washing. Please observe the hazard information when handling waterproofing products in aerosol cans.

Important:

• Waterproofing does not provide complete protection against every type of stain. Always handle light-coloured surfaces with care.
• Light-coloured, open-pore leather is not suitable for heavy rain, slush or muddy paths.
• Prolonged rain will eventually penetrate any waterproofing treatment.
• Friction allows moisture to penetrate through a waterproofing treatment as well.
• Oil and grease stains, chocolate, strongly colouring liquids and colouring pens remain a risk.
• If drops land on a waterproofed surface, react immediately and do not wait for them to soak in.
• If a stain occurs, immediately blot inwards with a light-coloured, absorbent kitchen towel. Do not rub too hard. Do not rub beyond the edge of the stain. Do not work with water or unsuitable cleaning products. Carefully absorb the liquid lying on the material and press a clean kitchen towel onto any liquid that has soaked in. Then allow it to dry and seek advice from a specialist company if stains remain. Incorrect treatment can quickly increase the damage to delicate surfaces.
• Use and friction reduce the effectiveness of waterproofing, so it must be renewed regularly. Before clearly poor weather or after a long period without renewing the protection, carefully test the remaining protective effect with a little water in an inconspicuous area.
• Waterproofing products have no conditioning properties. For dry, open-pore leather, additional care with Aniline Protector is therefore recommended.

200 ml Waterproofing Spray for Leather & Textiles is sufficient for several pairs of shoes or several jackets. 500 ml is sufficient for large areas such as a generous furniture suite. Coarse-pored or highly absorbent materials require more waterproofing product than fine-pored materials or materials that still retain some protection.

Extremely flammable aerosol. Pressurised container: May burst if heated. Causes skin irritation. Causes serious eye irritation. May cause drowsiness or dizziness. Harmful to aquatic life with long-lasting effects. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking.

Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames, hot surfaces and other ignition sources. No smoking. Do not pierce or burn, even after use. Do not spray on an open flame or other ignition source. Do not breathe vapour/aerosol.

IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Protect from sunlight. Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50 °C. Dispose of contents/container through a hazardous-waste collection service.

Caution! Please observe! Inhalation may cause damage to health. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Spray for only a few seconds. Spray large leather and textile items outdoors only and allow them to air thoroughly.
