Description

The Leather Sanding Pad is used in various situations:

  • to smooth rough areas before leather repairs or colour refreshing on worn or brittle leathers
  • to correct uneven or rough colour applications with Leather Fresh
  • to clean greasy areas or remove stains from suede
  • to smooth rough areas during repairs with Binder Neutral
  • to gently abrade smooth leather surfaces for professional colouring in the workshop.
  • to remove pilling from Alcantara

Application

Feel rough areas on smooth leather by hand. Carefully move the Sanding Pad in circular motions over the leather, avoiding grooves and deep scratches. Check with the flat of your hand whether the desired result has been achieved. Repeat if necessary.

CAUTION: Liquid Leather cannot be sanded smooth. Sanding usually pulls it back out of the damaged indentation. In this case, the GLD Pen is the product to use.

CAUTION: Take care around seams to avoid damaging the thread.

For suede, always first test in a concealed area whether sanding causes colour changes; in visible areas, always proceed carefully to avoid causing excessive changes.

Both sides of the Sanding Pad can be used and it can be rinsed with water.
