Thorough degreasing is the basic prerequisite for many leather treatments, whether before colour refreshing, a repair, or finally before applying care products. Greases, oils, skin oils, and other residues can become deeply embedded in the leather surface and prevent subsequent products from adhering properly or being absorbed evenly. This is precisely where Degreaser comes in.

The product degreases reliably and effectively without attacking the leather surface or impairing the colour. Thanks to its gentle formula, it is suitable for all types of leather, from smooth leather to more sensitive surfaces such as aniline leather. Despite its powerful cleaning effect, the material remains intact after use and is optimally prepared for the next treatment step.

Typical areas of use are:

• Degreasing smooth leather and removing care product residues before a repair, for professionals and end users.
• Degreasing greasy areas in the headrest and armrest areas of furniture, steering wheels, handles and gear knobs in vehicles, handles on handbags and suitcases, etc.
• Cleaning/degreasing "greasy" nubuck and suede leather in furniture applications
• Degreasing greasy collars on jackets before washing with Leather & Fur Wash Concentrate
• For degreasing greasy areas before professional recolouring in the workshop

Please read the notes below carefully before each use!

Moisten a clean, soft cloth with Degreaser and wipe over the greasy areas. After a test, single-colour smooth leather can be thoroughly degreased. On open-pore leather (nubuck and suede leather, aniline leather), only pass the cloth briefly over the leather to prevent edges and stains. Always allow the leather to dry in between, without a hairdryer.

• Always first test the product in a concealed area for changes.
• Although Degreaser does not dissolve colours, it can cause lightening on open-pore leather or if overdosed. Therefore, pre-testing is always advisable.
• Never apply the product directly to the leather; always apply it to the cloth first.
• Protect from frost and heat (+40 °C)
• Not all grease stains can be removed completely. In particular, skin- or hair-contact areas that have become heavily greased over long periods cannot be completely degreased with Degreaser. Over time, the grease has penetrated deep into the leather, and Degreaser cannot absorb it. In some cases, Grease Absorber Paste can also help.
