Description

A convertible top is exposed to many environmental influences such as UV radiation, rain, dust and dirt, and the material loses its protective effect over time. Without regular care, the top can quickly become unattractive, let moisture through or wear out prematurely. The Convertible Care Set provides everything needed for professional cleaning and long-lasting sealing of the convertible top – coordinated and ready for use.

Application

We start with cleaning, as it is the basis for the best results.

  1. Pour the 100 ml Pol Star into the empty transparent spray bottle (Mixing Bottle large)
  2. Then fill the bottle with warm water and close it with the spray head
  3. Spray the dry or slightly damp top evenly in a shaded place and carefully work it into all areas with the Allround Microfiber Sponge.
  4. Then allow the cleaner to work for 5–10 minutes and make sure that it does not dry.
  5. For stubborn stains, copper rust/verdigris etc., use the Allrounder Scrubber.
  6. The cleaning process can be repeated if necessary.

Completing the cleaning:

Rinse the top thoroughly with clean water, using a high-pressure cleaner if necessary, until all dirt and cleaning residues have been completely removed. Then allow the top to dry completely.

Next comes the sealant; it protects against wetness, dirt and weather influences:

IMPORTANT: Make sure that the top is completely dry and clean.

  1. Make sure that the surface temperature is between 10 °C and 40 °C.
  2. If necessary, cover or mask off areas that are not to be sealed, generously moisten the Allround Microfiber Sponge with Allround Textile Sealant and rub it evenly into the areas.

CAUTION: Ensure that the Allround Textile Sealant is distributed truly evenly so that you have full sealing protection.

  • Then allow the top to dry for at least 24 hours – do not expose it to rain or moisture during this time.

TIP: During the season, clean the top only lightly unless it becomes heavily soiled again. If the protective effect diminishes, apply Allround Textile Sealant again.

Notes

  • Before reapplying, always first check for dirt.
  • Care and protective products should always be applied to a clean surface.
  • Shake products before use.
  • Protect products from frost and heat (+40 °C)
